Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use the Quiztador app for iOS and Android and the website www.quiztador.com (together, "Quiztador"). Quiztador is provided by PiJa Media & Management AB, [ORG. NUMBER], [POSTAL ADDRESS], Sweden ("we", "us"). Contact us at info@quiztador.com.

By creating an account or playing Quiztador you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.

1. Who can play

  • Anyone can play Quiztador. If you turn 13 or younger this year, a parent or guardian must approve these terms and the Privacy Policy for you before you can play. The app asks for their email address and sends them a link.

  • If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should know that you play and agree to any purchases you make.

2. Your account

  • You sign in with your email address (we send you a one-time code), or with Apple or Google. Keep access to that email or account to yourself: you are responsible for what happens on your account.

  • Give a correct birth year. It decides whether a parent must approve your account and which ads you may see.

  • One person, one account. Do not sell, share or transfer your account.

  • Your username must not be offensive, hateful or sexual, impersonate someone else, or use a name or trademark you have no right to. We may refuse a username change and may change or remove a username that breaks these rules.

3. Playing fair and being nice

You must not:

  • cheat, for example by looking up answers during a question, using bots, scripts or modified apps, or exploiting bugs (please report bugs to us instead),

  • manipulate games, ratings, top lists, invitations or rewards, for example by playing against your own extra accounts,

  • harass, threaten, bully or insult other players, or post hateful, sexual, violent or illegal content in chat, usernames, avatars or questions,

  • share other people's personal information, or your own contact details, with players you do not know,

  • spam, advertise or try to trick other players,

  • try to get into other players' accounts or our systems, or disturb Quiztador in any other way.

We check answers automatically to detect cheating. You can block a player, and you can report a player or a chat message. Our moderators review reports and can read the reported message and the messages around it.

4. What you post

  • You are responsible for the chat messages and questions you post. They must be your own, or something you have the right to share, and must follow section 3.

  • You keep the rights to what you write. By posting it you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to use, store, edit, translate, show and distribute it in Quiztador and in our marketing of Quiztador. For questions you write, the licence lasts as long as the question is in the game, also after your account is deleted.

  • Questions you write are reviewed, by us and with the help of AI, before they are published. We may edit, refuse or remove any question or message.

5. Gold, premium and purchases

  • Quiztador is free to play. You can buy gold, premium and other items with real money, earn gold by playing, inviting friends or watching ads, and spend gold on lifelines and items in the game.

  • Gold and other virtual items are a licence to use them in Quiztador. They have no value outside the game, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be transferred to another player. We may change how gold and items work, prices and what can be bought.

  • Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, and their terms for payment and refunds also apply. Ask Apple or Google for a refund.

  • When you buy gold or another digital item, it is delivered to your account straight away. You agree to this and that, as a consumer, you therefore lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once the item has been delivered. This does not affect your rights if the item is faulty.

  • Premium removes ads. Premium bought for a limited time ends at the end of that period.

  • If your account is deleted or disabled, any gold, premium and items on it are lost.

6. Ads

Quiztador shows ads, which pay for the free game. Some ads give you gold for watching them to the end. We are not responsible for the products or services shown in ads or for other companies' websites you reach through them.

7. Our content

  • Quiztador, its questions, design, characters, sounds and software belong to us or to the people we licensed them from. You may use Quiztador for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment, but not copy, sell, modify or reverse-engineer it, except where the law allows it.

  • Some questions and answers are written or checked with the help of AI and by other players. We do our best to make them correct, but cannot promise that every question and answer is right. If you find an error, vote on the question or tell us.

  • Third-party software, fonts and images used in Quiztador are listed on the Attributions page.

8. If you break these terms

If you break these terms, we may remove your content, reset your results, reduce your rating, gold or items gained by cheating, or suspend or disable your account, depending on how serious the breach is. If we think it is a mistake, tell us at info@quiztador.com and we will look at it again.

9. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time, in the app (Options) or on the website (Profile). The deletion is carried out after 7 days, and until then you can cancel it. The Privacy Policy describes what happens to your data.

We may close Quiztador or a part of it. If we close the whole game, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance in the app.

10. Changes and availability

  • We develop Quiztador all the time and may add, change or remove features, game modes and content.

  • We try to keep Quiztador running, but cannot promise that it is always available or free from errors.

  • When we change these terms, we publish a new version. If the change matters to you, the app asks you to accept the new version before you continue playing. If you do not accept it, you can delete your account.

11. Liability

Quiztador is a free game provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for loss of gold, items or results caused by technical problems, by other players or by things outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under mandatory law, or our liability for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence.

12. Law and disputes

Swedish law applies to these terms. If you have a complaint, contact us first at info@quiztador.com. If we cannot agree, a consumer can turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, www.arn.se), which we will cooperate with, or to a Swedish court. If you live in another EU country, you also keep the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer law and can go to court there.
